ValuJet - 10 Years laterMay 11, 2006 - This day marked the 10 year anniversary for those lost in this trajic accident. This crash brought to light many lapses in aviation oversight and treatment of family members which led to many changes in the industry. To this day people like Greg Feith and John Goglia continue to push to improve safety in aviation. Safe-skies hopes to assist in this mission by providing useful aviation safety data to the public. NTSB Board MeetingMay 2, 2006 - The NTSB held a board meeting to decide the final causation of a closely watched accident, the Montrose CL-600 crash from November 2004. This unfortunate accident has brought to light many controversies about 135 operations. It is hoped that the results of these findings can be used to improve safety for all. "The National Transportation Safety Board today determined that the probable cause of a corporate jet crash in Colorado was the flight crew's failure to ensure that the airplane's wings were free of ice or snow contamination that accumulated while the airplane was on the ground. This failure resulted in an attempted takeoff with upper wing contamination that induced the subsequent stall and collision with the ground."
