There is an uncomfortable love-hate relationship between many popular media journalists and those of us who work in the trenches of aviation. SSI fully embraces the notion that our free society is heavily dependent on the principals and privileges of the free press. We also recognize there are some members of the press who abuse their privileges for personal gain, or from a simple lack of understanding. Although Safe-Skies.com will happily provide feedback without mincing words when we see an article we believe is inappropriate (see Media Power), we also welcome journalists who wish to learn and join us for dialogue. We live in the same world, we must talk and develop better mutual understanding. If we can help you understand an issue and develop a better balanced piece, we all win.
